Zinsser B-I-N is a high-performance, shellac-based primer, sealer, and stain killer known for its exceptional adhesion and ability to block the most stubborn stains and odours. It is a professional-grade product suitable for demanding interior projects and exterior spot priming.

Product Description

B-I-N® is an advanced pigmented shellac formula designed to deliver unparalleled adhesion to challenging, glossy surfaces without the need for scuff sanding. It effectively seals porous surfaces with excellent enamel holdout, creating a smooth base for topcoats.

The product is renowned for its ability to permanently block a wide range of stains including water, nicotine, smoke, fire damage, rust, ink, graffiti, crayon, lipstick, and tannin bleed from wood knots and sap streaks. It also seals in stubborn odours from smoke, fire, and pets. Its dried film is non-toxic and hypo-allergenic, allowing it to be used in areas with incidental food contact.

Limitations

  • Exterior Use: Not recommended for full-surface exterior applications. For exterior use, it is limited to spot priming only.

  • Not for Floors/Decks: Not suitable for application to floors, decks, or surfaces subject to immersion or prolonged water contact.

  • Flammability: The standard shellac-based B-I-N is highly flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
