Details:

Osmo Polyx-Oil Anti-Slip Satin (3089) is a high-performance, professional hardwax-oil clear finish specifically developed to provide enhanced slip resistance on interior wooden floors and stairs. Combining all the protective benefits of classic Osmo Polyx-Oil with special anti-slip surface additives, it delivers a durable, satin surface that reduces the risk of slips without compromising on aesthetics.

Formulated from natural vegetable oils and waxes, it penetrates deeply into the timber to create a microporous, water-repellent finish that defends against high foot traffic, daily wear, and liquid spills without peeling or cracking.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Enhanced Slip Resistance: Engineered with specialized additives to achieve an R11 anti-slip rating (DIN 51130), making it ideal for high-risk indoor areas.

  • Exceptional Durability: Tough, long-lasting surface protection designed for commercial and busy domestic timber floors.

  • Liquid & Stain Resistant: Repels water, wine, beer, tea, coffee, fruit juices, and milk (tested according to DIN 68861-1C).

  • Microporous & Breathable: Allows timber to breathe, reducing swelling and shrinkage over time.

  • Food & Child Safe: Safe for humans, animals, and plants once dry; certified saliva and sweat resistant (DIN EN 71.3).

  • Easy Maintenance: Damaged or high-wear areas can be cleaned and recoated locally without needing to sand the whole floor back to raw timber.

Application & Usage

  • Ideal Surfaces: Interior wooden flooring, parquet, wooden staircases, commercial entryways, and public spaces requiring improved traction.

  • Coverage: Up to 24 m² per liter per coat on smooth timber surfaces.

  • Drying Time: Approximately 8–10 hours under normal climatic conditions (+23°C / 50% relative humidity).

  • System Recommendation: Apply 2 thin coats on raw untreated timber, or 1 coat as a topcoat over Osmo Polyx-Oil Tints using an Osmo Microfibre Roller or flat floor brush.
