Details:

Osmo Polyx-Oil Anti-Slip 3088 (Semi-Matt) is a professional-grade, clear hardwax-oil finish designed to increase safety and durability on interior wooden flooring and stairs. Formulated with natural plant oils and waxes, it penetrates deeply into the wood while creating a tough, protective topcoat enhanced with specialized anti-slip additives to achieve an R9 slip-resistance rating.

It preserves the natural character and warmth of timber while providing exceptional resistance against liquid spills, foot traffic, and daily wear—making it an ideal choice for high-traffic domestic and commercial environments.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Enhanced Anti-Slip Safety: Formulated with organic additives to achieve an R9 slip-resistance rating without compromising the visual appearance of the wood.

  • Extremely Durable & Wear-Resistant: Protects against dirt, abrasion, footwear scuffs, and everyday household traffic.

  • Liquid & Stain Resistant: Repels water, wine, beer, coffee, tea, fruit juice, and milk (tested to DIN 68861-1C).

  • Microporous & Breathable: Allows the timber to breathe, reducing the risk of swelling or shrinkage without cracking, flaking, or peeling.

  • Safe for Homes: Safe for humans, animals, and plants once dry; resistant to saliva and perspiration (suitable for wooden toys under DIN EN 71.3).

Application & Usage

  • Ideal Surfaces: Interior wooden flooring, solid wood, engineered wood, parquet, OSB, cork, and wooden stairs. Especially suitable for commercial spaces, public buildings, kitchens, and hallways where slip resistance is essential.

  • Coverage: Up to 24 m² per liter per coat on smooth timber surfaces.

  • Drying Time: Approximately 8–10 hours under normal climatic conditions (+23°C / 50% relative humidity).

  • System Recommendation: Apply 2 thin coats on raw, untreated interior timber. For maintenance, apply 1 thin coat to a clean, dry surface without the need for aggressive sanding.
