Osmo Door Oil Raw 3033
Details:
Osmo Door Oil Raw 3033 is a specialized, hardwax-oil topcoat designed specifically to protect interior solid wood and veneered doors while preserving the natural, light appearance of untreated timber. Standard oils often darken wood, giving it a permanent "wet look"—Osmo Door Oil Raw contains a small amount of white pigment to counteract this ambering effect, maintaining the wood's original raw character.
Formulated from natural vegetable oils and waxes, it penetrates deep into the wood structure to create a flexible, microporous finish that defends against moisture, dirt, and everyday handling without cracking, flaking, or peeling.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Preserves Raw Look: Prevents the wood from darkening or yellowing, retaining the natural, light tone of raw timber.
-
Tough & Dirt Resistant: Protects interior doors against finger marks, water stains, liquid spills, and everyday handling.
-
Microporous & Breathable: Allows timber to breathe, reducing the risk of swelling, shrinking, and warping.
-
Safe & Non-Toxic: Free from harmful chemicals once dry; safe for humans, animals, and plants.
-
Easy Maintenance: No heavy sanding required for future top-ups—simply clean the surface and apply a fresh coat.
Application & Usage
-
Ideal Surfaces: Interior wooden doors, joinery, and veneered doors made from light wood species (e.g., Oak, Pine). (Note: Not recommended for dark timber species like Walnut or Mahogany, as the light pigments may appear chalky).
-
Coverage: Up to 24 m² per liter per coat on smooth timber surfaces.
-
Drying Time: Approximately 8–10 hours under normal climatic conditions (+23°C / 50% relative humidity).
-
System Recommendation: Apply 2 thin coats on raw, untreated wood. For best results, apply thinly along the wood grain using an Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller.
