Details:

Osmo Decking Oil is a premium, natural oil-based finish engineered to protect, preserve, and enhance exterior wooden decking, garden furniture, and outdoor timber structures. Formulated to penetrate deep into the wood fibers, it creates a microporous finish that allows the timber to breathe while shielding it against rain, dirt, and severe weather exposure.

Available in a range of natural timber tones as well as clear finishes, Osmo Decking Oil highlights the natural character and grain of wood without cracking, flaking, peeling, or blistering.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Microporous & Breathable: Allows moisture to evaporate naturally, preventing the finish from cracking or blistering.
  • Highly Water & Dirt Repellent: Causes water to bead off the surface, protecting decking from moisture damage and rot.
  • UV & Weather Resistance: Tinted finishes provide enhanced UV protection to prevent graying and fading caused by sunlight.
  • Safe for Plants & Animals: Once dry, the natural oil finish is safe for humans, animals, and garden vegetation.
  • Easy Maintenance & Spot Repair: No sanding required for re-application—simply clean the surface and apply a fresh topcoat.

Application & Usage

  • Ideal Surfaces: Exterior wooden decking, garden steps, screens, cladding, and outdoor timber furniture (suitable for Softwoods like Pine, Larch, and Spruce, as well as Hardwoods like Teak, Iroko, and Bangkirai).
  • Coverage: Exceptional coverage of up to 24 m² per liter per coat (varies based on timber species and absorbency).
  • Drying Time: Approximately 12 hours under standard climatic conditions (+23°C / 50% relative humidity).
  • Application System: Apply 2 coats on raw, untreated timber. For maintenance, apply 1 coat to a clean, dry surface.
