Caparol Haftgrund EG White is a premium, water-based, pigmented adhesion-promoting primer. Formulated for both interior and exterior use, it creates a textured, grippy foundation on smooth, weakly absorbent, or problematic substrates before applying topcoats like emulsion, silicate, or silicone resin paints. It significantly reduces the risk of flaking and spalling on gypsum filler layers and plasterboards.

Application & Surface Preparation

Preparation: Ensure substrates are dry, sound, clean, and free from loose particles, grease, and release agents. Lightly sand gypsum board filler joints before dusting off.

Application: Stir thoroughly before use. Apply undiluted, or thin up to 3%–5% with tap water to adjust working consistency. Do not apply in temperatures below +8 °C.
